Thank you for your interest in the BRANDING IRON CHAPTER, of TEN-TEN INTERNATIONAL NET, INC. Located in Central Texas on the West Boundary of Fort Hood, Texas.

To be eligible you must collect 1000 points or one Instant Qualifier on 10 meters and have a TEN-TEN number.

TEXAN = Your point value 1 to 1000 points

DROVER = Your point value reaches 1001 to 5000.

TRAIL BOSS = Your point value reaches 5001 to 10,000. All CH, CM, and TEN-TEN NET OFFICIALS are TRAIL BOSS and "IQ".

RAMROD = Your point value reaches 10,000 points and up.

CHARTER MEMBER = Member TRI-CITY ARC or be a resident of the State of Texas and have the status of RAMROD. Exceptions can be made by Chapter Head.

BRANDS.

The Branding of cattle to show owner is known to have been used in Egypt as early 2000 B.C. The actual Branding process along with indications of brands was illustrated on the walls of ancient tombs. Biblical mention is made of "Jacob the Herdsman" marking his sheep by branding. The early Greeks, Romans and Chinese also have been known to have used branding. In America the first recorded use of branding was done by Cortex the conquered of Mexico. Brands designs were created in such a way that could not be changed or altered. Large scale branding were usually carried on in the spring. Unbranded cattle called "Mavericks" were the reason for many of the bloody western range wars. Because of the many brand designs, brand reading became a real art in which most cowboys took great pride. As herds became larger and were moved to different markets, ranchers changed branding procedures and began ear marking their cattle. This type of identification being more visible in larger herds. All brands must now be legally registered; including those of the United States Government.

EARNING BRANDS AND BONUS POINTS

Rocking R Brand awarded when you have work 25 Branding Iron members in 25 different states.

Lone Star Brand Awarded when you have earn 3000 points. 100 Bonus points awarded also. A 6 point upgrade to anyone who works you.

4D Brand (this is a hard one) To earn this brand a Certificate holder must work and confirm another B.I Certificate holder in each of the 4 corner states: CA. WA. FL. And ME. Mail QSL cards to KA5VVD. All logs and cards will be returned. 500 point upgrade.

Pigpen Brand You must work 10 B.I. members in each of the 10 U.S. call areas. At lest one YL or XYL per call area is required. Wild card may be used with a limit of 10. WC are FS on basic certificate number. 500 point upgrade.

XIT Brand (WAS) Work a Branding Iron member in each of the 50 states. 500 point upgrade. WC are VIP holder's

Bar YY's Brand Awarded when point value reaches 5000. Also must have the first 5 Brands.

100 Point upgrade to all life members of 10-10 International. 1 Time only.

200 Point upgrade each time someone uses your B. I. Number to join Branding Iron.
